45 Days until NFL Kickoff, and players number 47-45 in the top 52 PPR Fantasy Football League players countdown are D.J. Moore, Kyler Murray, and Jaylen Waddle.
Player number 47, is Carolina Panthers, WR D.J. Moore. Moore is entering his fifth season in the NFL and has been a consistent WR2 in his time. The only scary thing about Moore is that he's the only player in NFL history with over 1,100 receiving yards and less than five touchdowns in two or more seasons. This isn't necessarily all Moore's fault(due to lackluster QB play over the past five years), although he was the sixth most targeted WR in the NFL last season. Even with poor QB play, Moore has finished top-ten in receiving yards in the previous three seasons, which results in him having the floor of WR2. With the addition of Baker Mayfield to the QB room in Carolina, Moore could soar into the high-end WR1 conversation. Moore is an excellent pickup in any fantasy league especially with his average draft position being around pick number 48.
Player number 46, is Arizona Cardinals, QB Kyler Murray. Murray is entering his fourth season in the NFL, with 3 top-ten overall fantasy finishes. What is even more impressive is the consistent growth and improvement Murray has shown over the last three seasons. Murray has always been a threat with his legs but his rushing numbers did fall short of expected, which can be blamed on the development of his passing abilities. Even with these shortcomings, Murray finished top four in carries, yards, and touchdowns. Murray should have another phenomenal fantasy season as the weapons on offense are the best he's had in his career. The only red flag with Murray this year is that his best WR DeAndre Hopkins is suspended for six games. This red flag could be overlooked with the addition of WR Marquise Brown, Murray's former collegiate teammate. With their previous chemistry don't be surprised if both Murray and Brown have breakout seasons. Murray is an elite QB1 in all PPR Fantasy Leagues.
Player number 45, is Miami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle. Waddle finished tenth or higher at the WR position in receptions, targets, and catch rate his rookie year. Entering year two Waddle should have continued success, especially with the addition of WR Tyreek Hill and an always-developing QB in Tua Tagovailoa. Waddle now will be facing CB2s every week rather than CB1s last year. Which will create more favorable matchups with an extremely accurate QB to find Waddle in space. Waddle as well will see terrific usage in Mike McDaniel's offense, potentially as a rusher similarly to WR Deebo Samuel. Which only helps his fantasy value. Waddle will be a great receiver this year and is an extremely solid as well-safe WR2.
