37 Days until NFL Kickoff, and player number 37 in the top 52 PPR Fantasy Football League players countdown is Los Angeles Rams, RB Cam Akers.

Rams Running Back Akers was out all of last season with a torn Achilles. As a second-round pick in 2020 Akers became the lead back for the Rams down the stretch. Last year was poised to be his breakout season but that did not happen due to injury.

Akers is to be the lead back for the reigning Super Bowl Champions and is a very explosive rusher. Akers will be limited as a receiving option with Henderson Jr. in the backfield. A major plus is Akers' being the first choice in goal line sets as well. Especially with Sean Mcvay's offenses being second in carries inside the five-yard line since 2017.

Akers is a projected one-thousand-yard rusher getting over two hundred fifty carries out of the backfield. Akers as well is projected to end the regular season with ten or more total touchdowns which are terrific for his fantasy value. Akers is a sleeper in PPR Fantasy Football Leagues, and very well could turn out to be a league-winning back. Don't miss out on this breakout Running Back.
